Bahia
Paraiso Rain Forest Lodge is located in the southern
Pacific region of Costa Rica on the Osa Peninsula. The
lodge can only be reached by boat or hiking in. There
are only two aquatic gateway points by boat; the
village of Sierpe located on the Sierpe River; and
Agujitas Beach located in Drakes Bay. Access by the
Sierpe River involves a 1 hour and 15 minute scenic
boat ride down the Sierpe River and along the Pacific
Ocean coastline. Access by Agujitas Beach is a much
shorter boat ride of only 15 minutes to get to the
lodge along the coastline. There are many options for
getting to these two aquatic gateways suited for
everyone's taste and budget. In fact we recommend that
you vary your arrival and departure to see more of the
Osa Peninsula.
Transfers
in San Jose, local air transfers or local bus transfers
can be arranged directly by yourself or by your travel
agent. The lodge, through its San Jose office, will
always assist you in coordinating taxis from Palmar Sur
to Sierpe and boat transfers at no extra cost.
