| With
the first light of morning rising across Costa Rica's Osa
Penisnula, beams of bright, warm sunlight break through
lush rain forest and shimmer and dance on the Pacific Ocean
surf below, while, high above, puffs of cotton-ball clouds
are painted with subtle hues of pink and gold. A new day
dawns where pristine rain forest meets crystalline ocean
water in one of the last untouched tracts of rainforest
in the world. This is the spectacular setting of Paradise
Bay Rain Forest Lodge, located in southwest end of Costa
Rica on the most westerly edge of the remote Osa Peninsula,
between Drake Bay and Corcovado National Park.
At Paradise Bay, the day awakens to the songs and chatter
of exotic tropical birds and monkeys against a backdrop,
to the east, of 160 acres of pristine, privately owned and
protected rain forest. The panorama to the west is equally
breathtaking with 43 acres of palm-tree-lined beach property,
offering the steady, soothing sound of rolling surf against
the soft, golden sand of secluded beaches lined with coconut
palms and rain forest. |
